Our Mandate To bring together all segments of the community and to provide a forum for cooperative study, planning and action to enhance life in Shilo and the surrounding community.
Our Purpose The Council’s function is to operate as a representative body that works for the betterment of the quality of life at CFB/ASU Shilo. The Council also acts as a conduit between the Base, civil authorities, and the military community in Shilo for information and matters of concern.
Our Function The Council’s function is to be responsible to the Base Commander and responsive to the military community.
Our Organization The Shilo Community Council is comprised of: a. President; b. Vice-President; c. Secretary- the Recreation Assistant; d. Ward Councillors- up to 2 from each ward; and e. Ex-officio Members

ext 4082 | What is a Ward Councillor? A Ward Councillor is a resident who represents his/her ward and may serve on a Special Projects Committee. More specifically, the tasks of the Councillor are as follows: a. represents his/her ward at Council meetings; b. report upon the current status of the ward activities to the Council; c. distribute and collect surveys as required; d. recruit volunteer leaders to assist with community projects as required; e. serve as a member of other council committees as required; f. inform ward residents of the current status/projects of the SCC; and g. perform any other tasks consistent with the position, as assigned by the Chairperson.
