Dental Facilities

 The role of Dental Detachment Borden is to provide dental care to CF personnel stationed at CFB Borden and LFCA TC Meaford.  The Dental Clinic provides comprehensive in-garrison dental care to Regular Force personnel, Reserve Force Class C personnel, and Reserve Force Class B personnel with contracts over 180 days stationed at CFB Borden and LFCA TC Meaford. Dental Detachment Borden is responsible for ensuring that these personnel are dentally fit for operations. 

 The Dental Clinic is located on the second floor of building 0-114.

 Regular clinic hours are from 0730 - 1545hrs Monday to Friday.

Appointments can be made by calling 705-424-1200 ext 2643.

Sick Parade

 Dental Sick parade is provided at 0730 hrs, Monday to Friday.

Patients will be seen in priority of their condition.

Emergency Dental Care

 During normal duty hours emergency dental care will be provided by reporting to the clinic. During Silent hours, weekends and holidays, dental service can be obtained by contacting the Base Duty Officer at 705-424-1200 ext 2445.

After Hours Medical Care:

Medical emergencies, members should contact 911.

Patients who have a medical condition after working hours that is not an emergency can access care from the Emergency Departments or the Urgent Care Clinics listed below.  Prior to seeking medical care at the locations below, patients are encouraged to call the CANADIAN FORCES MEMBER HEALTH INFORMATION LINE at 1-877- 633-3368 for assistance and guidance with regards to their medical condition.

 Patients should be sure to have in their possession their Blue Cross Cards prior to reporting to any of the locations below.

 CF members who seek medical care after hours at a civilian walk-in clinic or hospital emergency department must present themselves to the base medical clinic the following working day to be assessed by a CF health care provider.  Personnel who are admitted to a civilian hospital must notify the liaison nurse by calling 424-1200 ext 3021.

Mental Health Services:

31 CF H Svcs C has also has a Mental Health Team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses and addictions counsellors.  They are located at Building E-179, on 41 Plains Rd.

 

This team works within two specific areas including the General Mental Health Program and the Psychosocial Program that together serve the needs of the base military population.
