Activity Description
Speed and Agility The ultimate cardiovascular workout focusing on quick movements, coordination, power and speed. This style of class works within short bursts of effort at a high heart rate, with the goal being to get faster, stronger and fitter. We utilize equipment such as ladders, agility rings and cones, hurdles, steps and reaction balls. This is a great way to shake up your cardio workouts.
Sports Conditioning

 

A cardiovasular workout designed with athletics in ming. Here we take movements derived from sports and put them into a class format. You can expect drills that improve your stamina, strength, agility, coordination, balance and muscle memory. Skills you can take to the ice, field, or everydaylife

Cardio Circuit

 

Circuit Training is a great way to improve overall cardiovascular fitness. The stations are of higher intensity and shorter duration which creates less stress on the body and therefore less risk of overuse. This style of class challenges both the anaerobic and aerobic energy system through a variety of cardio exericses; a great class for all fitness levels

Indoor Cycling

 

Ramp up your imagination and fitness as you join us for a cycling adventure each class. Besides being a fantastic form of aerobic activity (burning between 400-600 calories in 40 minutes), indoor cycling also strengthens the muscles of the lower body and provised a great way to cross-train for runners. Whether the class format is "drill-typed" or terrain based, members are guaranteed to be adrenaline-drenched in motivation.

Indoor Cycling - Hills

 

Hill training is a great way to increase your cardiovascular endurance and strength. The instructor will guide and motivate the class up several hills of different sizes, terrain and intensities. These hills are as challenging and rewarding in real life as they are in our class

Indoor Cycling - Intervals

 

High-intensity interal training is an exercise strategy that is intended to improve cardiovascular performace with short training durations. Normally a 2:1 ratio for work to recovery periods is used. This technique will challenge both the anaerobic and aerobic energy systems and leave you feeling faster and fitter.

Power Step

 

Step into a class where you physical and mental capacity will be put to the test. Intervals of speed, agility, and plyometric exercises using the step, will increase your power, strength and fitness. Get the benfits of a step aerobic class, without all the choreography!

Lengths and Sprints (Aqua)

 

Grab some goggles and get in the pool! An excellent way to cross-train or add some variety to your cardio workouts. This class focuses on cardiovascular endurance, strength and speed in the water. We intergrate a variety of strokes and kicks to ensure a great workout for all.

5KM Run Trial

 

The 5 KM is an event at the Olympic Games, and is a hugely popular distance for runners of all levels. It is a very unique distance, meainly due to its demand for both endurance and speed. Tactics also play a role in how quickly you can finish it. Ever wondered how your time would stack up against the best runners in the world? This time trial will let you know!

Interval Run

 

The interval run is great for training your cardiovascular endurance, as well as increasing your lactate threshold. Pushing yourself through that burn in your legs will allow you to run at a faster pace for father than ever before, by improving oxygen delivery to the muscles

Running & Core

 

This class offers a great mix of aerobic training and core conditioning. Your core strength involved the supportive muscles in your trunk and hips, and powerful core muscles can provise you with a strong and enduring stride. Integrate the two into an outstanding workout.

Endurance Run & Stretch

 

This class will push your aerobic capacity to the limit, and give you a very rewarding full body stretch afterwards. It works great for those who want to push their running boundaries, but want a nice long stretch to gelp prevent that muscle soreness the next day.

Combat Fitness Level 1

 

A class that will challenge you to push through a variety of physically demanding exericses that test both muscular strength and endurance. Workouts resemble "Cross-Fit" style training that will allow you to set personal bests on challenges based on a times or rep/set basis. This workout will help you progress your fitness level and produce a combat ready CF Member.

Step & Strength

 

This high energy workout emphasizes cardiovascular endurance as well as coordination as you step off the calories. Instructors will challenge you with fun choreography and functional strength movements to give you a well earned burn. All fitness levels will benefit from this total body workout.

Military Stomp

 

Bodyweight as resistance will be utilized in this class to provised you with the desirable burn. Anyone looking to increase their muscular ensurance and strength will enjoy the level of intensity that this class will provide. Instructors will motivate you through creative functional movements that will allow you to develop increased body awareness and promote strength for your daily life.

BOSU Cardio & Strength

 

Challenge your stability, balance and co-ordination by using this high versatile piece of equipment. The BOSU class will introduce you to many combinations of movements on this instable surface that will strengthen your core and help prevent muscle and joint injuries in other areas of your life.

Circuit Training

 

Circuit Training is one of the best ways to incorporate both muscular and cardiovascular exercises into a total body blasting workout. Experience a challenging and highly motivating setting where your fellow CF members sweat it out beside you to exercises that will strengthen and sculpt you from head to toe.

Boxing & Conditioning

 

If you are experienced with throwing lefts and rights or have never thrown a punch in your life, this class will allow you to develop the fighting fitness edge you need. You will be motivated through an intense boxing based class incoporating footwork, core strengthening and punch combinations that will prepare you for the fight!

Aqua Circuit

 

This swimming cased class will turn those feet into fins and produce a well rounded swimmer. This circuit based class will incorporate swimming drills and challenges combined with a variety of muscular movements that will leave you feeling fit and refreshed.

Total Body Training

 

This class is designed to train you from head to tow with a variety of exercises. This class targets your whole body with functional and dynamic movements to icnrease your overall strength. Not only will you see gains in strength, but positive changes in your overall fitness levels.

Body Bar & Med Ball

 

With extensive use of body bars and medicine balls this class focuses on muscular endurance, and provised opportunity for challenge; either in partners, through a circuit or front led by a PSP instructor. Come find new ways to cahllenge yourswelf while shaping your body.

Weights & Core

 

This class will certainly give you lean, well-built muscles. While focusing on strength; you will be lifting and challenging yourself through a plethora of workouts. Additionally, there is a detailed focus on working core muscles of the body; providing rock hard abs and powerful muscles.

Lower Body Circuit & Core

 

Find yourself engaged in this fitness class. PSP will guide you through a circuit while challenging your lower body and core muscles. This class is designed up help you reach your fitness foals and make fitness fun.

Upper Body Circuit & Core

 

This is the ultimate upper body workout. While providing a vast variety of exercises to increase your upper body strength, this circuit will push you to new limits.  Additionally, with extensive core work, you will find yourself conquring new goals.

Core Conditioning

 

The core is the powerhouse of the body. Within the core muscles we generate the energy flow to co-ordinate the dynamic and static movements of the upper and lower extremities. In this class you will be challenged functionally with static and dynamic movements which will improve core muscle strength and endurance.

BOSU Core Conditioning

 

Originally the name "BOSU" was an acronym for "Both Sides Up". It has since evolved to mean "Both Sides Utilized". The BOSU is a funational and an effective tool in improving core stabilization, neutral spinal posture and balance, all of which are the building blocks for moving better in athletics and in daily life. In this class a variety of exercises are provided, utilizing the BOSU that challenge core muscle strength and ensurance, coordination and balance.

Stability Ball Core

 

The stability ball goes under a number of aliases, exericse ball, Swiss ball, physiop ball, but they all refer to the same ball and concept; INSTABILITY. The benefit to working on something instable is that the body responds be engaging more muscles in order to remain balanced in compairson to working on a hard surface. Over time, these muscles becomes stronger and react quicker when balance is jeopardized. This type of class is complete on the stability ball and includes strength exercises which will improve balance and core muscle endurance and strength.

Yoga

 

Allow your mind to relax and your body to be challenged during the poses of Hatha Yoga. This is a total mind/body workout that increases muscular strength, balance, flexibilty and relaxation. It's a great way to add cross-training to your workout plan. You leave feeling completely Zen.

Expres Prep

 

Have an EXPRES Test coming up? Curious about your current fitness level? Join us for a practice Expres Test. A PSP staff member will be available to take you through the entire test and answer any questions regarding testing. This is a great way to prepare for an upcoming test or check how you've improved since your last one.
