What is the goal of 'injury prevention'?

The goal is to enhance the operational readiness of CF personnel by reducing the incidence/severity of injuries. By monitoring our working environments and our physical training, we can implement strategies to improve safety and reduce injuries.

Did you know that after an extended period of inactivity, even if it is only a month, it takes longer for your muscles and joints to adapt to activity than your heart and lungs? This is why many individuals who begin an activity program without a slow progression end up getting injured. Another common problem is due to an imbalance in strength in opposing muscle groups and their associated flexibility or range of motion for those joint and muscles. Seek help from a trained professional to avoid these pitfalls.
