CANADIAN FORCES HOUSING AGENCY (CFHA)

The Canadian Forces Housing Agency exists to meet the housing needs of Canadian Forces Members. CFHA’s mandate is to operate and maintain suitable housing, determine future housing needs, develop contemporary housing solutions and implement DND’s Accommodation Policy.  CFB Borden has 863 DND Housing Units situated on the North side of the Base. They include single and semi-detached, two to four bedroom, Units. Although the Units do not have a garage there is shed and attic storage. All Units are individually metered for gas and electricity; therefore occupants are responsible to the respective utility companies for their consumption. The Agency is committed to quality and timely responsiveness to their customers’ needs. 

 In order to manage this diverse and dynamic housing portfolio and ensure that the needs of our customers are always met, CFHA is responsible for managing the housing of today, but also for planning and developing the housing of tomorrow.  This involves determining the future requirements for military housing and assessing the ability of the local housing market to meet that need.
