Welcome to our Gateway to Borden, which is located in Central Ontario, about 1.5 hours from Toronto, a couple of hours away from wine country, steps to the sandy shores of Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe, and an hour from Muskoka, famous for its cottage country. Borden and the surrounding area is a bilingual community featuring elementary schools for students in either official language.
Borden features a robust Community Recreation program with many clubs and activities for defence team members. We are the home of the National Sports program and are fortunate to have top notch facilities to support that program complete with field house, gymnasia, cardio training, spinning, lap pool, wading pool, hot tub, arena, soccer and baseball fields, golf courses and more.
The Barrie Molson Centre, situated 30 minutes away, provides access to year round Sports and Entertainment for all and our own Terra Theatre provides you with access to feature movies in both official languages at the best prices around for your movie and the snacks!
Families will be pampered with the vast array of programming available at the Borden Family Resource Centre, complete with before and after school care, Nursery School, Child Care and Youth Centre. They offer programming for young and old with second language classes, computer access, lending resource library and more!
