MFRC Youth Programs

Activities And Special Events
Trips to Edmonton, Monthly Dances, Creative Cooking, Movie Nights, Band Nights, and Jam Nights are just a few of the awesome events you can get involved in. Give us ideas on anything you’d like to do and we’ll do our best to make it happen. Check out our activities on our website familyforce.ca..

Youth Educational & Prevention Programs
Educational and fun workshops such as "Go Grrrls..", "Shifting Gears" for the guys and Stress Management are a few of the workshops that have been offered in the past.

Babysitting Course
An excellent course for community youth that’s designed to offer specific training in first aid and child care. A list* of successful participants is kept at the MFRC for parents looking for babysitters to access.

* The Babysitting List is held and maintained by the 4 Wing MFRC. We do not endorse those on the list, but simply offer it as a central point of access for families looking for a babysitter who has successfully completed the babysitting course.

Resource Library
A great resource for teens and pre teens. Get the information you need to help you with the physical, emotional and social changes that everyone goes through, as part of growing up.

Career Planning And Job Search
The MFRC Career Centre helps youth acquire skills, networks and resources that will allow them to participate in the work force. Check out the MFRC Career Centre for links to valuable resources and links to current job postings.

Come learn what it's like to be part of a team; learn how committees work and the process of decision making through agendas & minutes; and learn the process of planning a budget & fundraising.

Newspaper Delivery Program
Employment Opportunity for youth to earn $10.00/hour delivering the local newspapers to the homes on the base.

A great way to earn extra money, the MFRC has a youth employment program in place that provides newspaper delivery of the 'Courier', the 'Cold Lake Sun' and the 'Bonnyville Nouvelle', to homes on the Wing.
