19 Wing Health Promotion

Strengthening the Forces Health Promotion Program is designed to assist members of the Canadian Forces team to develop and maintain a high level of health and well being by coordinating and delivering health education workshops, seminars, events and National awareness campaigns.  Health Promotion Programming is intended to enable members of the CF Team to identify and change unhealthy behaviours and make healthier lifestyle choices.

The programs focus on the traditional areas of:

  • Nutrition Wellness
  • Injury Prevention and Active Living
  • Addiction Awareness
  • Social Wellness

In addition to supporting the continued delivery of these programs, the Health Promotion Director works with the various Sections and Units to:

  • Identify health issues;
  • Support the delivery of existing programs;
  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of new programs; and
  • Ensure programs meet national standards.
