The Totem Times has kept 19 Wing informed, and celebrated its honours and accomplishments, since 1960, making it the longest running newspaper in the Comox Valley. It is published every second Tuesday and delivered around the Wing, as well as to PMQs and various community sites and businesses. It is also sent out to CF Bases across Canada and to CF deployments around the world.

The Wing Public Affairs Office writes many of the paper's articles, and Wing Imaging takes most of its photos, but sources throughout the Wing contribute submissions. Every Wing entity is encouraged to tell its story to 19 Wing and the larger CF and civilian communities through the pages of the Totem Times.

The Totem Times also publishes the annual 19 Wing Welcome Book. It is a 90-page resource for ongoing and incoming personnel, with useful information about the Wing and the Comox Valley.

Many local businesses and organizations advertise in the Totem Times newspaper and Welcome Book. These publications provide them with a unique opportunity to reach out to 19 Wing's large, dynamic population of military members, families, and retirees.
