Sea Kayak Basic Training!

Want to try the perks of a West Coast lifestyle, enjoy some great family outdoor exercise, and learn how to safely explore the waters around our home?

The 19 Wing Comox Yacht Club has an ocean kayak fleet (with all the gear you'll need) ready to go at HMCS Quadra (Goose Spit). For a very low yearly club membership and kayak rental fee, you and your family can enjoy the use of the kayaks as much as you'd like.

In order to ensure everyone's safety, new members must complete the Kayak Training Course - two sessions, one in the Base pool and one on the water at Goose Spit, for a total 4 hour commitment and $30 per person cost.

Only 8 spaces available for the next course - June 20 - 21.

Part One; 7:30-10 pm, Thursday at the Rec Ctr/pool.

Part Two; 4:00 - 6:00pm, Friday at the Yacht Club.

Regular membership & kayak rental only $110/year for the family (Ordinary membership & kayak rental only $115/year). We don't know when the next course will be available, don't wait for tomorrow for what can be done today!
