The Edmonton Garrison Community Centre, Bldg 161 is located on the corner of Range Rd 244 and Mons Avenue.  The facility and its management is a shared effort between Personnel Support Programs (PSP) and the Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC).

The Community Centre is used for a variety of purposes and includes the following designated spaces:

  • Community Library
  • Conference Room
  • Dance Studio
  • Daycare, Gross Motor Skills and Casual Care Rooms
  • Deployment Support Group (DSG)
  • Lounge
  • Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC)
  • Multi-purpose Rooms
  • The "Edge" Youth Centre

As part of Northern Lights Library System (NLLS) and the Regional Automated Consortium (TRAC), members have access to millions of books, DVD's, CD's and magazines in English & French! If we don't have it, we can get it! Also available:

~ HEALTH PROMOTION IN THE LIBRARY     Ages: 18+
An opportunity to learn some new skills or find out a little more about how you "are put together" and how that affects how you relate with others or deal with the curve balls life throws you. A variety of topics that can help you get the most out of your life will be presented. Refreshments provided. Registration required; contact the library for more info.

Discover some of triggers to your anger and what you can do to better manage them so that you can control your anger instead of the other way around

 ~ Nov 23 - RESPONSIBLE DRINKING / PARTY HOSTING
Drinking like eating has guidelines of appropriateness. As a party host, you need to be aware of your responsibilities to create an environment that allows fun to be had by all without sacrificing safety.

 ~ HOLIDAY CRAFTS FOR KIDS
Ages: 6 - 10 years (younger children are welcome with an adult)
Time:  starts at 1:00 pm
Fee:   Free with membership or $2 for non-members

 ~ GIRL'S BOOK CLUB    Ages: 7 - 13 years
A review and exploration of a series of classic books for girl's to help foster an appreciation for literature in a fun, youth-oriented setting. Snacks are provided. Registration is required. Contact the library for info.
