Membership Categories
Regular Member
Canadian Forces Forces or full-time Class B or C Reserve service; foreign military personnel on duty with the Canadian Forces; and their immediate family.
* Class A Reservists are considered Ordinary members for Recreation Club purposes, but are entitled to Regular member rates
Ordinary Member
CANEX patrons as listed in A-PS-110-001/AG-002 Chapter 1 para 51:
1) former members in receipt of an annuity under the Canadian Forces Superannuation ACT (CFSA), Defence Services Pension Continuance Act (DSPCA), or a pension under the pension Act or War Veterans Allowance Act, and their familiesand survivors;
2) former members of the CF who served on active service in the naval, army, or air forces raised in Canada during time of war;
3) DND/NPF/MFRC employees and their immediate family;
4) members of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, or other security force when residing or employed on a unity, and their immediate family;
5) former DND and NPF employees in receipt of a pension and their immediate family; and
6) current serving members of the RCMP and their immediate family
Ordinary Membership shall be for a one-year period with no guarantee for further one-year terms.
Associate Member
All others, and their immediate family members, not considered Regular or Ordinary Members. Associate Membership shall be for a one-year period without prejudice to renewal of membership for further one-year terms.
Club Only Member
Those who wish to participate in one recreational club (limited membership for some clubs, please check with club before purchasing a membership)
* Club Only Members do not have access to use the Military Fitness Centre (unless paying a facility drop in fee)
This category also includes seasonal Minor Sports Programs. Fee is $25 for the entire year and entitles player to participate in one Minor Sport Program per season (ie) soccer in spring, hockey in winter
