Camp Alexander

Alexander Lake Camp is within a 10-minute drive from 5 Wing.  It is located just under Dome Mountain.  Come and visit the Alexander Lake Camp and experience the natural beauty, wilderness and adventure of an unspoiled country.  The camp is located approximately 5 miles from 5 Wing  by a good dirt road in summer that will take you as far as the walk way (stairs leading down to the camp), a bridge has been constructed over the creek and a wheel barrow is there for camper to use to transport their supplies to and from the camp.  In winter the camp is accessible by skidoo which will allow you to drive right up to the cabin.  The camp has a beautiful cabin with a screened in patio.  There is a BBQ, boat shed, floating dock, paddle boats and canoes available for your enjoyment.  You and your family can enjoy the great outdoors (summer or winter) within a short distance from the Wing.  The camp can be reserved and used by any DND military personnel/Allies, PSP/NPF, DND civilians, CFHA and MFRC and their families at a cost of $10.00 nightly or $25.00 weekends.   To book the camp contact Jean Noseworthy at 709 896-6900 ext 7744 or e-mail jean.noseworthy@forces.gc.ca
