Wing Chaplaincy
The Chaplains at 14 Wing are part of a network of men and women across the CF and at home, overseas and on deployment. They are "called to serve" the needs of Army Navy and Air Force Personnel and their families in times of both celebration and of difficulty. Whether you are planning a wedding or grieving the loss of a loved one, Chaplains can be helpful and called upon for counsel, advice and discreet confidential conversation. At 14 Wing, the Chaplain Team members make regular visits to Units and Squadrons, ready to listen to you about whatever may be on your mind. Our offices are located in the AVM Morfee Centre on school Street. Personnel or family members wishing to see a chaplain may so by either calling in advance for an appointment at 765-1494 Ext 5883 or by dropping in at the office during working hours. At all times, there is an on-call emergency chaplain who may be reached through Wing Operations at ext 5457.
St. Mark’s Chapel
St Mark’s is a place where you belong. There are exciting things happening at St Mark’s on Sunday and throughout the week. Sunday morning worship starts at 1030 hrs and features a wonderful Wing Administration blend of many different denominations. There is new and exciting music, and also some of the well known and well loved older hymns. Our children enjoy a Sunday School led by enthusiastic teachers, with fun and faithful lessons and crafts. Following worship, all gather together for a cup of coffee (or juice) and enjoy some fine fellowship. Together, we celebrate Holy Communion (or the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper) on the first Sunday of each month. During the week, the Chapel Choir practice making a joyful noise (new members always welcome). The Chapel Annex hosts the Women’s Guild monthly meetings, and other groups such as TOPS, Divorce Care, The Love Dare, and AA weekly meetings. If you’re looking for a faithful home, one that will nourish your spirit, and make you ready for the unique life of a military family, then come to St. Mark’s – because you belong!
