Amateur Radio Club

The purpose of the Greenwood Amateur radio Club is to:

A.  stimulate greater interest in Amateur Radio as a hobby

B.  be familiar with advances in Amateur radio & electronic    techniques;

C.  foster adherence to the Radio Act as it pertains to operation of an Amateur radio station and  to promote good operating practices among all members of the club and the Amateur Radio  fraternity as a whole; and

D.  to apply the knowledge and the abilities of the club    membership and club facilities for the welfare of the community.

The club holds its business meeting monthly on the first Thursday of the month at 7pm in the Community Center. Every other Thursday we meet at the Community Center for projects and updates on various items of interest.

Our club has a fully operational HF and VHF station in the Community Center that is available for use by club members. We have 2 VHF repeaters and 1 UHF repeater. As well IRLP, Echolink and the MAVCOM linking system are available on our VHF repeaters.

We offer courses to aid in the obtaining of amateur radio certification. We are also involved in EMO/ARES.
