The CFB Halifax Auto Club, located in Windsor Park, accessible through Connolly Street or Windsor Street, has been in operation for more than 40 years. The club has more than 200 members, and a mandate to provide a self-help recreational facility where members can maintain their motor vehicles. Vehicles of all types including boats, motorcycles, trailers and snowmobiles are welcome at the club.

The Auto Club operates 10 service bays, a paint booth, a six-bay body shop as well as an undercoating and welding bay, a dirt/wash bay, five hoists, a club room, a reference library which includes Chilton, Haynes and Mitchell manuals as well as a tool crib. A variety of equipment is available for members to use for their automotive repair and maintenance needs.

The club offers members low rates for bay rentals. Mechanical and body shop bays are $5/hour, tools included. Hoists are $10/hour.

Tools available for rent: tire changer, computer balancer, sandblasters, mig welder, arc welders, oxygen and acetylene torches.

Tools available for use: metal cutting saw, sheet metal bender and roller, pipe bender, disc and drum lathe, spring compressors, brake bleeders, pressure washer, air grease equipment, air bulk oil dispenser, drill presses, digital timing lights, pullers and specialty tools, amp/ volts/ ohms meters, cooling pressure testers, hydraulic bearing press, ball joint press, air impact guns and drills, air hammer,engine code reader and all hand tools.
