Falls Lake is a Department of National Defence (DND) facility operated by Canadian Forces Halifax Personnel Support Programs (PSP). The facility serves DND personnel both active and retired, as well as RCMP, Foreign Military (NATO), and Legion members.

A relaxing and rustic retreat open year round, Falls Lake offers an inviting setting with comfortable cabins, each with its own BBQ, serviced and unserviced campsites, play areas, conference facilities and the main lodge on the lakeshore, where you can gather by the fireplace on a chilly evening.

Falls Lake Recreational Facility consists of 25 cabins and a chateau nestled in the forest surrounding the lake. Each cabin sleeps four to six people and has a fully equipped kitchen and a four-piece bath. Some cabins have an outstanding view of the lake. The chateau can sleep up to 20 guests. There are 15 serviced and 15 unserviced campsites available. Romantic evenings by the campfire or the fireplace in the main lodge are great features of this rustic hideaway.
Falls Lake Recreational Facility offers many outdoor activities including walking and hiking trails, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats, a swimming and beach area and cross country skiing in the winter months. Ski Martock is located only 15 minutes from the facility for ski and snowboard enthusiasts. For your convenience Falls Lake Recreational Facility also offers free high-speed wireless Internet services.
Falls Lake operates on a seasonal basis. In the off-season (October to June) the facility operates eight cabins: two bungalows, and six ranchstyle. Basic services are available. The facility reopens for the regular season in mid-June. Summer bookings may be made up to six months ahead of time by military and DND/NPF employees only.
