New to Shearwater is the Molson Military Community Recreation Park generously supported by Molson Canada. The park is located adjacent to the Shearwater Arena. Not only does the park feature a ball hockey court, but it also serves as a multi-purpose facility. The ball hockey court can convert to an ice rink during the winter months if the weather permits.

This multi-purpose facility will provide another valuable physical fitness venue for use by Canadian Forces members and their families. All ages and skill levels can enjoy this fast growing sport. Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., military personnel have priority over the ball hockey court use for military physical fitness classes or events.
