2010 Canadian Naval Centennial
In 2010, Canada's Navy will mark its 100th anniversary of service to our country and our aim is to build and strengthen in Canadians an appreciation for their navy and to demonstrate the navy's ongoing role in our national development. Our theme is to "Bring the Navy to Canadians" by honouring the past, showcasing the current and reinforcing the need for a navy in our future. The centennial will be a significant occasion both in our navy's and our nation's history. We will both commemorate and celebrate our achievements and recognize our obligation to Canada with the naval centennial slogan: Commemorate, Celebrate, Commit.
