The CFB Kingston Yacht Club (CFBKYC) will be conducting one 2-week Learn-to-Sail course using the Club’s CL-14 sailing dinghies.
The course will take place at the Club facilities adjacent to Arrowhead Beach, with emphasis on hands-on, in-the-water training. Applicants must weigh over 45 Kg and have good swimming ability to be able to safely sail these boats.
Space is limited to 16 trainees, with priority going to Kingston Garrison personnel.
Instruction is given by a certified Canadian Yachting Association instructor, providing trainees with progressive instruction through CYA levels White Sail 1, 2 and 3. Included in the cost of the course for Kingston Garrison personnel is Club Dinghy Membership for the year which, after qualification to White Sail 3 level, provides access to Club dinghies for the rest of the season at no charge.
