2 CMBG IRONMAN 2011 Instructions
September 8th & 9th

2  RCHA will organize and supervise the conduct of the Ironman competition with support from remaining BDE units. This year’s IRONMAN competition will be similar to those of previous years with the exception of being a two day event 08 & 09 Sept 11. Participants will cover a total distance of 50 kilometers (km), to include a 32 km forced march; a 4 km canoe portage; an 8 km paddle down the OTTAWA RIVER; and a 6km forced march to the finish line at Dundonald Hall.  All competitors will conduct the IRONMAN on the exact same route regardless of which day they are competing. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony with the Bde on the second day to recognize top individual and team performers. There will be NO prizes given to competitors who complete the IRONMAN event on day 1, regardless of their resulting scores. Only those who compete on the competition day,  which is day 2, will be eligible for the prizes.
