Military Personal Training Programs
Research has proven that individuals who engage in some form of physical activity, either by lifestyle or occupation, are likely to live longer and healthier lives. A personal trainer can help you safely and effectively start, maintain and progress an exercise program. Personal trainers employed at GSH hold a 4 year degree in a health and fitness related field, current first aid and CPR along with liability insurance.
The types of programs available include but are not limited to the following:
• General whole body conditioning
• Weight management
• CF EXPRES training
• BFT training
• Specialist training
• Mountain man training
• Nijmegen training
• Sport specific training
• Marathon/triathlon training
A personal trainer will complete a one-on-one intake with the CF member to gather specific details as to the type of training program they are looking for. The training program will be specific to their individual needs and goals. At the time of the intake, military members are required to bring the completed informed consent, PAR-Q and questionnaire (which are accessible below). The intake will take approximately 30 minutes. PT attire is not required.
Upon development of the program, the personal trainer and CF member will meet again to go over the program in more detail and learn the particulars. This orientation will take approximately 1 hour. Please come dressed in appropriate PT attire.
Baseline testing and fitness assessments are also available.
The following completed forms are required at the time of the personal training intake.
