Definition of Donation - a donation is a monetary or non-monetary gift with value made to NPP by an individual, organization, company, corporation or other body, for which there is no exchange of monetary or non-monetary benefit from NPP to the donor. Donations may be solicited, restricted or unrestricted, with the following combinations possible:
- unsolicited and unrestricted;
- unsolicited and restricted;
- solicited and unrestricted; and
- solicited and restricted.
