The Gourmet Club is an organization where people with interest in all aspects of gastronomy could meet.
The activities at the club vary from cooking classes given by various members, cooking techniques and demonstrations from Guest chefs like Chef Drew Ferguson from Belleville's Windows on the Bay's Executive, Chef Michael Hoy from the Hidden Bistro in Picton, Chef Wayne Jordison from the Waring House in Picton and Chef Irma Cann from Warkworth and the grand-father Chef of our club, Chef Pierre Nolet.
We also venture on our Gourmet outings to the Greater Toronto area where we sampled multiethnic delicacies in Chinatown, the St. Lawrence Market and The Kensington Market. Unfortunately, the club has a limited membership of 20.
We are presently using the Wing Chapel kitchen, which is well organized but can only accommodate a limited number of people.
We meet every month from September to Jun and take the summer off to go out and experience new tastes.
