Military Family ID Card (MFID)

The Military Family Identification Card (MFID) has been designed to provide immediate family members with a standard means of identification. It provides tangible recognition that the military family member is an integral part of the Canadian Armed Forces.

This card is available upon request to the immediate family (spouse and dependent youth ages 10 to 18) of all CF members (Regular and Reserve Classes A, B and C).

To obtain an MFID card:
The Community Recreation Flight in conjunction with the Military Family Resource Centre is accepting applications for the issue of the Military Family ID Card to dependant members starting on 3 Nov 08.

Military members wishing to obtain the Military Family ID Card for their dependants can complete the Military Family ID Card Application (, 440KB). The form can be completed online before printing. Appointments can be booked for the issue of these cards:

Monday to Friday: 1615 to 2030 hrs
Saturday: 1230 to 1930 hrs
Sunday: 1230 to 1600 hrs

Please note: Military member and dependant(s) must be present with a completed application form at the 8 Wing/CFB Trenton RecPlex, located at 21 Namao Drive, Middleton Park, Trenton to obtain the ID Card Dependants must be at least 10 years of age.
