ADSUM NEWSPAPER

Adsum is a bi-monthly newspaper for the military community in the Quebec Eastern area. This area extends from the Gaspé Peninsula to Trois-Rivières, including Valcartier and Quebec City.

Adsum was founded in 1972 and has a circulation of 5,500 copies. Its readers are military (active and retired) and civilians working at Valcartier Garrison, in all the military units of our vast region, as well as the families of these employees.

Published 22 times a year, Adsum is an important internal communications tool in the military community.

Every other Wednesday, Adsum is distributed free of charge throughout Valcartier Garrison and in the various National Defence establishments of the Eastern Quebec area, including Reserve units. Our carriers deliver the newspaper to Valcartier and Sainte-Foy private married quarters.

Adsum readers can become authors if they like. From the volunteer who wants to write about the local sports team’s victory to the CF member who decides to share a special experience with readers, these occasio nal contributing authors provide us with articles that are as varied as they are numerous.

SUBSCRIPTION

Subscription is free for active and retired members of the Canadian Forces, as well as for civilian employees working for the Department of National Defence. People who do not match these criteria must pay $20.00 for a one year subscription.
