FEES

1.  The following rates will apply to the I/S Golf Program:

    Green Fee: $12.00

    Club Rental: $3.00 (Bag and Clubs)

                       $2.00 (Cart)       *I.D. is required 

Rules

2.  The Sports Coordinator will be the league statistician. F&S Staff will pick up the scorecards at the club every Tue or Wed.

3.  All scorecards will be clearly marked with the team name and final scores with the winning team’s score will be circled. Cards shall be deposited in the I/S Golf Box in the Golf Club. If scorecards are not returned in the box, those games will count as a default until the cards are returned to the Sports Coord.

4.  SCORING- Teams will compete as indicated below:

a.  Holes; Scoring protocol

                      i.            Holes won- team with the lowest score on a hole.

                       ii.            Ties- Hole is halved

                       iii.            Carry-overs- do not apply       

b.  Matches; The team winning the most holes will be awarded the match worth (2) points. In the case of a tied match each team receives 1 point.

c.  League standings; Team Standings will be determined by total match points (highest to lowest). Play-off rounds will be determined by team standings. 

5.  Only team scores will be recorded (best ball format), individual records will not be kept.

6.  A team that has only one player will be allowed to play, but that player will compete without the benefit of playing a second ball. The opposition plays a two-person scramble.

7.  If upon reaching a score of double par  on any hole, a player shall pick up his/her ball and not finish the hole. Double par will be the maximum score put on the card.

Cancellations

8.  If a team must cancel a game, they have to inform the opposing team as well as the league statistician (Sports Coordinator) by 1000hrs of the day of the match.

9.  Any team which fails to inform the Sports Coordinator of any cancellations by 1000hrs prior to Tuesday’s round of golf will have to default the match.

10.  Decisions on games being cancelled due to inclement weather will also be made by 1000hrs on the day of the golf games. Teams will have to call the Sports Coordinator to find out the decision. 

Scheduling Format

11.  The league play will be a single round robin format, (2) Pts will be awarded for each match won.  

Team Format

12.  Each team will have a specific pool of players to draw from. Any sections that enter more than one team will ensure that there is no crossing over. Once designated to A team always with A team. 

General

13.  The proper golf etiquette on the 17WG WPG Golf Course will be followed as per Club rules.

14.  There will be 4 WComd’s Golf events, once a month.

            Carman - 26 May, and 8 Sept

            Bel Acres - 29, 30 Jun

            Teulon -  Jul - TBC

            17 Wg Golf Course – 20 Aug  

15.       The Prairie Region Golf Championships will be determined at the RSD’s Mtg on the 3 Jun 10. The 17WG WPG Golf play-downs will take place the 29, 30 Jun 10 at Bel Acres Golf Club in conjunction with the WCOMD golf tournament.

16.      The Championship final will include a wind-up for all the teams this year.   Details to follow.

17.       Deadline to send in your nominal roll is Fri 7 May 10. The schedule will be sent out on Thu 13 May 10 and the season will commence on Tue 18 May 10.
