Messes and Hospitality

Messes provide the environment for all CF and foreign members to promote the traditions and values of Canadian Forces duty. They promote courage, teamwork, discipline, and honour. Messes serve to perpetuate the military ethos in the profession of arms and are an instrument of socialization to the members and their families. Messes foster morale in both peace and war. Members who choose to take an active role in the life of their mess find it one of the most special and rewarding aspects of military life.

Officer's Mess (Chateau Room)

The Officers Mess membership is made up of undergraduate and graduate military pilots, support staff and associate members. The officers mess is home to three different areas.  The officers Mess is open Fridays from 1600 to 0100hrs.

The Chateau room is a unique piece of the Air Forces heritage. It is a reconstruction of a medieval inn using materials from a 1600s French Chateau. The room was originally pieced together in Marville, France as the Officers Mess for No. 1 Fighter Wing and later the walls and furnishings were brought back from France piece by piece, reassembled in Moose Jaw. This room is livened-up on Friday nights during weekly TGIFs where members and their guests enjoy the peace, tranquillity and luxury of its atmosphere.

Harvard Mess

The Harvard Mess is a club for Non-commissioned Members located on the main floor of the Mess building. This mess facility is a combined Junior and Senior Ranks mess. It offers a casual social environment with a large screen TV and comfortable seating. This room also offers two pool tables, shuffleboard, foosball table and jukebox.  Open Fridays from 1500-0100 hrs

All Ranks Social Centre Information

The Social Centre is an All Ranks facility and is open to all members employed at 15 Wing Moose Jaw. This area includes a dance floor and seating capacity for 150 people. There is a breathtaking full wall mural located on the back wall of a Tutor Aircraft, painted by late Moose Jaw artist Dale Kline. This room is used for Mess entertainment functions such as Candlelight dinners, and is available for booking for private functions such as weddings, anniversaries or course parties.

BBQ Pit

This is an All Ranks Combined area featuring a covered patio equipped with 2 barbeques. This area can accommodate approximately 100 people for a function
