Final
Both teams came out with guns blazing, making for fast, end to end action for most of the period. Cold Lake came out strong in the first part of the period, opening the scoring at 2:19. Edmonton was not to be denied, and tied the game at 5:34. Cold Lake received two minor penalties toward the end of the period, one at 14:46, and the second at 17:00. They were successful in killing both penalties. After a fairly clean first period, both teams came out hard in the second, resulting in four penalties and three goals in the first five minute of the period. At 0:21, Edmonton was penalized for roughing after the whistle. Than at 1:24 they received another penalty for high sticking. Cold Lake scored on the 5 on 3 scoring at 1:50. Cold Lake lost their man advantage at 2:47 when they were penalized for hooking. With both teams at four players, Cold Lake scored at 3:10. Cold Lake received an elbowing penalty at 3:42, allowing Edmonton to score at 4:42. Cold Lake scored two more goals, one at 13:15, and at 12:19. At 13:15 Cold Lake received a slashing penalty. Shortly later at 14:27, there were offsetting penalties, Edmonton for goaltender interference, and Cold Lake for tripping. Things got a little tense with just 29 seconds left in the period when offsetting roughing penalties were called, and Cold Lake received an additional two minutes for body contact. The third period was much more of the same. The first penalty was called at 0:24 on Cold Lake for slashing. They also received boarding at 6:39 and unsportsmanlike at 8:47. The successfully killed all three penalties. At 10:34 Edmonton was called for slashing. Offsetting penalties were called at 11:43, Cold Lake for unsportsmanlike and Edmonton for holding. Tempers flared on Edmonton and at 13:36 they received a game misconduct and an interference penalty. At 14:02 the received a second 10 minute misconduct penalty. They got a little redemption at 16:39 when the score their third goal. The game ran hot right up to the last minute when with five seconds left in the game Edmonton received a body checking penalty.
