Offsetting penalties were called at 11:43, Cold Lake for unsportsmanlike and Edmonton for holding.  Tempers flared on Edmonton and at 13:36 they received a game misconduct and an interference penalty. At 14:02 the received a second 10 minute misconduct penalty.  They got a little redemption at 16:39 when the score their third goal.  The game ran hot right up to the last minute when with five seconds left in the game Edmonton received a body checking penalty.
