Warrant Officers’ & Sergeants’ Mess (WSM)

The WSM is located on Strathcona Road in Building 16.  The Mess has seating capacity for 120 patrons and offers a fully functional dining room and bar facility.  The Mess also features a completely equipped games room, T.V., and computer with internet access. The facility is available to book for PD Sessions and Private Functions such as: Weddings, Christmas Parties and more.  Hours can be extended for special events and functions.

If you are interested in booking this facility and are not a CF Member you will require a CF Member sponsor. Please ensure you read the Base Alcohol Policy before filling out the Mess Booking Form.

Friendship Fridays: The intent of Friendship Fridays is to foster working and social relation with members and guests.  They are held in the Dining Room the last Friday of every month.  The buffet style menu featuring an array of palette pleasers from beef to seafood is something you don't want to miss.  The cost is just $13.25 a plate. Coffee Break Tuesdays  1000 hrs - 1030 hrs
Happy Hour Thursdays  1600 hrs - 2000 hrs
Friendship Friday Buffet  1200 hrs - 1300 hrs

Dress Regulation
Formal: Minimum Standard Required

1. Tuxedo or Mess Kit
2. Dinner Jacket
3. Dark Business Suit
4. Evening Gown or Coctail Dress for Ladies

Semi-Formal: Minimum Standard Required

1. Casual Suit with Tie
2. Sport Jacket with Shirt and Tie or Turtle Neck Sweater
3. Ladies may wear a mode of dress within the fashion and of parallel standardto that for the men.

Casual

1. Shirt with sleeves and Collar or Sweater (knitted) with Sleeves
2. Dress Slacks and clean presentable footwear (no running shoes)
3. Ladies may wear a mode of dress within the fashion and of parallel standard to that for the men
4. OR dress approved by the PMC for Special Function.

Relaxed

1. Denim Slacks must be clean, hemmed, without patches or hole, and presentable in appearance
2. Dress Short or Skirts must be conservative in length and style
3. Shirts and Blouses must have sleeves, not to be confused with PT, Hunting or Work type apparel
4. Footwear must be clean and presentable - Running Shoes are allowed.

Jeans may be worn in all areas of the Mess providing that no Function is taking place.  Also, Jeans are to be clean, neat and in good taste.
