Membership Definitions

Regular Members

(1)  Members of the Regular and Reserve Force while on a class B or C Reserve Service;Immediate family members of the Regular and Reserve Force residing with the member; and Foreign military personnel on duty with the Canadian Forces and their families.

 Ordinary A Members:

(1)  Public & NPF employees, including casual employees; and
(2)  Former members in receipt of an annuity under the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act  (CFSA),  Defence Service Pension Continuance Act (DSPCA), or a pension under the Pension Act or War Veterans Allowance Act.

 Ordinary B Members:

Subject to the approval of the Base Commander, through application to the CFB  Wainwright Recreation Council, the following persons may be invited to become ordinary members:
 Immediate family members or survivors of former members in receipt of an annuity under the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act (CFSA), Defence Service Pension Continuance Act (DSPCA), or a pension under the Pension Act or War Veterans Allowance Act.

Immediate family members of public & NPF employees who reside with that individual; Former civilian employees of DND in receipt of a pension on behalf of their DND service; and Members of the RCMP, Canadian Corps of Commissionaires or other security force where resident or employed at CFB/ASU Wainwright, and their immediate families.

 Associate Members:

Subject to the approval of the Base Commander, through application to the CFB Wainwright  Recreation Council, any person not specified in regular and ordinary membership may be invited to become an associate member.

One-Club Membership:

One Club Membership entitles you to join only one of our recreational clubs. The Community Recreation Association, located at the Base Fitness Centre, will issue One Club Membership Receipts.  Only clubs under the Recreation Council are eligible for a One Club Membership Fee.  For access to the Base Fitness Centre or any other Community Recreation Association Program you will be considered a Non-member. This only applies for those who do not have CRA Membership.

Family:

A family consists of the applicant, their spouse and children;
Children are defined as:  A Son/daughter, 18 years of age or younger residing at applicants permanent address, a son/daughter, 25 years of age or younger and attending school full time, or a physically and/or mentally challenged son/daughter residing at the applicant's permanent address. 

Spouse is defined as legally married to or living common law with partner.
